ECI-Ribbon looking for Technical Support Engineer for Cyber NFV for R&D team

Roles and Responsibility

  • This role is a largely customer-facing technical support (Onsite / Remote) working towards deadlines and with fast turn-around-times
  • This role demands you to work in shifts and sometimes in flexible timings as per customer requirements
  • You may have to travel abroad ( up to 6 months duration) to customer premises as resident Engineer /on site implementation of ECI products
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems including Lab simulation analyzing test equipment results, sniffers, etc
  • Provide onsite troubleshooting at customer sites when required
  • Perform field activities such as Upgrades, Network expansion, Installation, Site Survey, NOC operation, OJT, Site and Network commissioning
  • Participate in a complete phase of product introduction, implementation, trials and proof of concepts
  • Executing professional training to customers
  • Perform software verification when needed

Requirements

  • B.E. / B. tech / Degree in Electronics or Electronics and telecommunication
  • 4 – 6 years experience with minimum 2 years experience in Cyber Solutions, NFV, and SDN product families, with focus on applications in virtualized environment, cyber and networks communication
  • High-level practical knowledge and hands-on ability, with switches & routers
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of firewalls (Checkpoint/Fortinet)
  • Deep knowledge and understanding (CCNA level) of L2, L3 & MPLS
  • Knowledge and understanding of virtualization (VMware, KVM, OpenStack) – Advantage
  • Very high capabilities of self-learning
  • Excellent Verbal and written communication skills
  • Candidates having customer service orientation / having past experience as customer interface in technical support role will be preferred
